I have been associated with the PMI Bangalore Chapter since last seven years and have been participated in the chapter activities as volunteer as well as office bearer in different capacities. My contributions to the chapter range from ideation of PM Foot Prints & PM Primer , execution of number of specific tasks like PMPC arrangements, management of finances, raise funds, help build consensus for some of the core issues related to chapter constitution and statutory requirements, diversification of reach of PMI message to interest groups like Defence, NGO’s, Public / Government systems apart from providing my faculty time for accreditation programmes.
My vision for Bangalore Chapter is to create inclusiveness across sectors and industries for best practice sharing by expanding the scope of platform like PM Essence / PM Footprint. The PMI Bangalore Chapter can become the enabler for the knowledge dissemination, experience based learning through mentoring and buddy networks. Lastly, the chapter should also deliver corporate social responsibility by reaching out to those poor sectors of society which may not be able to afford high cost of PMI processes but the PM community helps them manage their projects with better frameworks.
With over 25+ years of experience in Health Care, Information Technology and ITES businesses & having worked with a diverse spectrum of companies spanning large multinationals & corporate like GE and Wipro as well as SME’s, I should be able to add relevant value to the Board of PMI Bangalore Chapter.
