Announcement: Seeking Nomination for the position of Director at PMI Bangalore Chapter for the year 2009

Dear PMI Member,

PMI Bangalore Chapter invites nominations for the three vacant positions of Directors. The Nominating Committee that was formed by the Board on October 15, 2009 will conduct the elections to these positions, which will be conducted as per the Charter provided by the Board to the Nominating Committee.

The Nominating Committee invites interested members to fill the attached Nomination Form and send it back on or before November 18, 2009 6:00pm IST to pmiblrelections@pmibangalorechapter.org .

General Roles and Responsibilities of the Directors:

These are positions in the Board of PMI Bangalore Chapter, and are non-remunerative, voluntary and honorary in nature with tenure of two years. The elected Directors are expected to serve the Chapter on various disciplines that include, but are not limited to: Finance, Communications, Publications, and Corporate Relations decided by the Executive Committee.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Should be a Member of good standing in PMI Bangalore Chapter for more than two years as on 31st October 2009.
2. Should be a resident and working out of Bangalore so that he/she can effectively contribute towards the Chapter activities.
3. Should have participated in PMI Bangalore Chapter activities.
4. Should be available to devote necessary time to the various initiatives of the Chapter.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the three positions will be carried out in the following manner:

1. Call for nominations are being made through this email for interested Members.
2. The nominations received on or before the date mentioned above shall be scrutinized by the Nominating Committee. After that, the potential candidates will be called for interview.
3. If there are more than three valid nominations, the Nominating Committee may decide to go for an election. In the event of an election, the Committee will provide adequate information.
4. The Nominating Committee will, after the elections, announce the names of the three elected Directors.
5. The Executive Committee of PMI Bangalore Chapter will make portfolio allocation for the newly elected Directors.

Nomination Process:

1. Members interested in nominating themselves should send the duly filled Nomination Form along with a softcopy of a photograph by email to pmiblrelections@pmibangalorechapter.org by 6.00 PM IST on November 18, 2009. Please click here to download the nomination form and related documents.
2. The completed Nomination Form should be sent from the email address to which this communication has been addressed. Forms received from any other email address will not be considered. The Nomination Committee will maintain confidentiality of all responses.
3. Members may, under exceptional circumstances, withdraw their nominations by sending an email to this effect.
   

The Nominating Committee has made their best efforts to provide all relevant information to the members. This committee requests your cooperation in meeting the time lines so that the next stage of the election process can be initiated as per schedule.
