Amar Bhaskar currently leads the Global Delivery Direct Business in IBM and is also the head of Project Management Center of Excellence in IBM.

With over 20+ years of experience in application software solutions, he has in-depth understanding of information technology and outsourcing business. His strong relationship with major global customers supported by excellent project management skills has been a key contributor to the organization. Amar brings with him rich hands on experience in Software Engineering, Systems Integration and Application Management Services. His general management expertise is in the area of organization building, team leadership and program management.

He joined IBM in 1993 and has a proven track record of successfully managing many complex projects, for global customers. He has made significant contributions to pioneering and implementing several organization wide strategic initiatives. He championed the project management profession for IBM India and has been recipient of several awards and recognitions for his contributions to Project Management. Amar is a speaker in Project Management at many prestigious international and national seminars and forums.

He is certified PMP and an IBM Certified Professional. Amar currently the President of Project Management Institute Bangalore Chapter was the founder member of the chapter and has served the chapter in various capacities. Amar is an active member of the youth photographic society and several other voluntary organizations, his hobbies include cricket, photography and carpentry. Amar earned a postgraduate degree in Master of Science in Applied Sciences from PSG College of technology, Coimbatore.
