Ramesh Emani is President - Product Engineering Solutions Division of Wipro Technologies. Ramesh is also member of Corporate Executive Council of Wipro Ltd.

The Product Engineering Solutions business in Wipro has done a business of over US$500 Millions in the year 2005-06 and employs over 14,000 people. This group has wide presence with sales and delivery capabilities outside of India in USA, Europe, Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea and Israel. This is the world’s largest engineering services group.

Ramesh joined Wipro in 1983 to focus in software applications for banking group in Wipro Infotech. He moved to (the then) Wipro Systems in 1989, to create focus in the software services export market. He was based in Hartford, Connecticut, USA, for some time in building the GE and other accounts in US East coast. Subsequently he worked in building our Japanese business. Then, between 1995 and 2000, came his stint as Chief Executive of the Telecom Solutions business. Ramesh Emani worked as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Executive - e Enabling Solutions from October 2000 till Feb 2002. He moved to head the Embedded and Product Engineering group in March 2002. In July 2005, the Telecom Solutions and Embedded groups are merged into one single group with Ramesh heading the new Product Engineering Solutions group.

In a career at Wipro of over 20 years, Ramesh has the unique distinction of moving across the technology and enterprise spaces of the organisation with ease, gathering a deep insight into both segments.

Ramesh did his Masters degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in 1980. This was preceded by a Bachelors degree from the College of Engineering, Kakinada, in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
