Gul Iqbal is an IT industry veteran with over 35 years of
global experience in technical and senior management positions
worldwide. From 1967 to 1997 he was with IBM Corporation in USA, Singapore and India. He was a key member of the Senior
Management team from USA, which set up the IBM joint venture
with the Tata group in India.
Currently he is the Managing Director of Globetech Consulting
Associates, a global IT and Management Consultancy firm. During
the last few years, he has done consulting assignments worldwide
with many multinationals including IBM, Cisco Systems, Digital
Island, Transworld and others. He also has been a Corporate
Advisor to several USA/India based Global IT Hardware and
Software Outsourcing companies.
Gul Iqbal has extensive experience in the Banking and
Financial Sector. He was a Director of Central Bank of India,
Karnataka State Industrial Investment and Development
Corporation and India Cements.
After completing his Engineering studies in India, Gul Iqbal
proceeded to USA and got his Master’s degree in Engineering and
Management from Columbia University, New York.
