Dr Krishnadas has had his
speciality training in glaucoma
initially at the Glaucoma
Services of the Aravind
Eye Hospital and Post graduate
institute of Ophhtalmology
followed by visiting fellowship
at Wilmer Ophthalmological
Institute, Wilmer Eye Institute
and the University of Illinois
Eye and Ear Infirmary in
the USA. He is currently
the Chief COnsulatnat at
the Glaucoma Services and
is the Chief of Medical
Staff of the Aravind Eye
Hospital and Postgraduate
Institute of Ophthalmology
in Madurai, South India.
He is involved in teaching
and training postgraduates
and fellows in clinical
and diagnostic methods in
glaucoma and is actively
involved in patient eye
care in the glaucoma subspeicality
for the past two decades.
He has actively participated
in clinical and epidemiologic
studies in glaucoma and
has co authored several
peer reviewed publications
in genetics and epidemiology
of glaucoma. His area of
interest includes genetics
and proteomics of primary
open angle glaucoma. He
has been a peer reviewer
for the ICMR and the Indian
Journal of Ophthalmology.
